Ben Woods would show how patients is everything on the technical Nonwing track this past Saturday night. Woods would start a 2nd row and find himself in a 3 wide battle for the opening circuits of the race with 6 other cars. The track was wide for the racers and everyone seemed to be trying different groves. As the race would go on the racing surface would narrow up and Woods would setting in behind Ottenbacher who would be reeled in only after a late race caution. As the 32t of Ottenbacher machine would start to fade Woods 11b would wait for a mistake. On the last lap he would get his chance as Ottenbacher would miss his entry and give the spot away. Woods would collect $300 for his efforts and pocket $500 for his weekend total visiting the Miniakota Group. One driver that didn't win still found a way to be top dog. Brandon Buysse found himself another solid finish sealing away his impressive 2011 Miniakota season.

Kaleb Johnson picked up his second feature win of the season and one of the biggest of his career. Coming off a great win at the Matco tools Nationonals in Watertown SD Kaleb used his momentum this past weekend. World of Oultaws support shows bring a great amount of excitement to the air. With all that can come much stress but from the start of the race Johnson would keep his 22 machine in perfect form. He would extend to a straight away lead before the #6 of Dan Doyscher would make heavy contact with the wall and bring out the Red. A long wait would make the crowd worried as Dan would finally climb from his car. With the number 6 machine taking heavy damage Dan would retire for the evening. At the restart of the race Ryan Schuur would find himself chasing Johnson for the lead until several laps later Schuur would lose a right rear collecting Shane Fick and Jordan Nordstrom in the process. Schuur would head to the infield and Fick and Nordstrom would head to the rear. Ben woods would inherit the second position and a chance at leader Kaleb Johnson as the green fell for the final rounds. To keep in perfect form Kaleb Johnson checked out once again and sealed the deal for another big win in thez#22 machine.

Heading into 2nd to last points race of the year our race is close. These are 99% correct but a few numbers are off and we need time to figure out the small differences. Please note some drivers qualified to have 1 or 2 of their worst finishes tossed. After our last show the current points board will be changed to reflect these adjusted numbers. At this time there are 12 drivers that have qualified for the points fund reaching 75% of the events. We have many other categories of prizes and awards that have been established. We are working to get a turkey Day event planned at this time. We hope to have more info shortly on this event. **Go to the main page to enlarge veiw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fick & Huisman stumble, Buysse stays consistent.

Going into the Casino Speedway Matco Tools Nationals 5points seperated the top 3 Miniakota Championchip points race, The #21w of Wade Huisman has been fighting to get back into contention with front runners Brandon Buysse and Shane Fick all summer. The Teamates Fick and Buysse have been going back and forth for months with their #1 & #4 Hyper Chassis.

Night one would see Brandon Buysse hold off Tim Ottenbacher for the Victory. The track was very slick and not allot of passing room on the tight paper clip. Ottenbacher would make several attempts around the outside Buysse but he would be unsuccessful. Ottenbacher would settle for second with Kris Wilke, Shane Fick and Ryan Schuur rounding out the top five. 2nd place points getter Huisman would have heartbreak as a earlier incident in the night would sideline his machine as he would lose valuable ground on points bid. Hard Charger award would go to Dereck Steen's 22s machine.

Night two action saw a better race track with some incredible lap times. Huisman would set the stage early in the heats tossing down the fastest times of the night. After the draw he would find himself outside pole with Kaleb Johnson who was also recovering from a incident with the wall the prior night. It would appear the two's luck would be changing as they set the pace for the final night of racing. Johnson would beat Huisman to the corner on two starts that were called back with cars getting tangled back in the pack. Shane Fick would his own dose of heartbreak as his car would receive damage from a tangle with the 97b of Chris Breen causing him to retire his machine to the infield hurting his bid for the points. On the third start Huisman would have his machine dialed in and get a edge on Johnson going into the first corner. A long green flag would see the #21 of Huisman pull from the rest of the pack. A yellow would bunch the Miniakota drivers back up and bring the charging Schuur within distance. On the green flag restart Schuur would find himself gaining on the first place spot as huisman's car made a mistake in turns 3&4. A half of lap later Schuur would try his hand on the bottom of Huisman for the lead. The two would tangle to a stop. Officials would award Huisman his spot back and send Schuur to the rear. With a banged up car Huisman would try and salvage his run. 5 laps would remain as the flag dropped and Huisman would lead to the last corner when he encountered a slowing car. Huisman guessed incorrectly as Johnsons 22 machine would take full advantage of the 21w misstep. Johnson would close the door and the game was over. "I was happy to see Kaleb get the win. After a long weekend of getting banged around the next best thing to winning is watching a youngster get his first win." Kaleb's crew has struggled with Motor troubles for most of the season and it seems the bad luck went away. Noted was a another consistent 3rd place finish by Brandon Buysse. With it came a 25point lead on the rest of the field going into the final weeks of racing. Hard charger award went to Ed Wagner of Newcastle Wy,
